READYBUS is a new transportation service available to residents of Southbridge, Sturbridge, Spencer, and Webster. If you live and work in one of these communities, and need transportation to and from your place of business, you are eligible to use READYBUS.
Covid-19 Policy Notice
Passenger Fare Collection Temporarily Suspended
Due to the continuing covid-19 pandemic, the collection of passenger fares on all of our vehicles has been temporarily suspended. The temporary suspension of fare collections will continue through at least 6/30/2025. The policy will be re-evaluated at that time. Any changes to the temporary suspension of fare collections will be announced to the riding public as soon as a decision is reached.
Here’s what you need to know about READYBUS

Open to residents of Southbridge, Sturbridge, Spencer, and Webster who live and work within these communities.

Operates Monday – Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Cost is $1.50 per (one-way) trip within town.

Reservations are required. We will pick you up where you want (at your home, for example), when you want, and drop you off at your destination.
The reservation process is simple. The cost is very affordable. The service is very reliable. Why wait?
Our Mission
The mission of READYBUS is very simple: Provide safe, reliable, and affordable work-related transportation services to residents of local communities within central Massachusetts. Although the transportation service is new, our Company is not. READYBUS is a new service being offered by SCM Elderbus (www.elderbus.org), a 501 (c) 3 corporation.
The Company has been providing transportation services to local residents of central Massachusetts for nearly four decades! READYBUS is simply another service being offered to meet the transportation needs of our friends and neighbors.

Fares
All in-town rides are $1.50. We will pick you up at your home, at the time that you request, and bring you to your requested destination.
Pre-paid fare passes are also available for purchase, and make a wonderful gift for a friend or family member in need of the service.
